Yesterday I got a text from Amy. ”Hey girl, we are back from our honeymoon, and I saw the pictures. YOU ARE SO AMAZINGLY TALENTED!! Thank you so so much.”
Here is the first of many videos from their wedding.

This new year marks a new start for REDHEARTPHOTOGRAPHY.
Let me know if you like the changes I have made so far.
Things to look forward to: iSite, a new portfolio compatible with your mobile browser, my new WEDDING site, slideshows at receptions, and much more!

The reception was more like a dance party with non-stop action on the dance floor. With tons of carnival food (popcorn, peanuts, cotton candy, and corn on the cob!) and vegetarian treats, no one was going hungry at this wedding. Amy’s good friend Kristina of Rise Up Cakes made all vegan cupcakes and of course the cake. It was all so delicious.
Amy had a wardrobe change (Betsy Johnson!) and we hit the photobooth.
A lot of hard work and love were put into this wedding. All the painted items, fabrics, balloons, and details were hand made by Amy, Jesse, and friends.
I am really happy I got to be a part of this day and proud to hang my wedding hat up on this one. The baby is due in a few weeks and I am totally ready for a little family time.
I have already been booking up 2010 and looking forward to getting back in the saddle in May. Between now and then, I will still be “in the office” but taking a break from on location work. I will also be updating the blog with the few underwater sessions I have in the works and of course baby news!

The day after my accident Jason and I spent the day shooting Kara and Iosefo’s wedding. I was still a little sore with a bum knee but that didn’t stop me! :)
Both getting ready and the reception were at the Hale Koa Hotel in Waikiki. The hotel is large with lots of different spots for outdoor photos.

Then everyone headed up to the Bernice Pauahi Memorial Chapel at Kamehameha Schools for the ceremony. It is such a beautiful venue.
Iosefo’s cousin and Hawaiian musical talent Keali’i Reichel played for the wedding party as they came own the isle. It was pretty unreal to hear such beautiful music LIVE!

Then we all headed back down the hill to Waikiki for the reception. Kara’s brother’s band One Groove flew over from California to play at the party. Again, you can’t go wrong with live music.
Congrats Kara and Iosefo! Thanks for letting us be a part of your fun day.

Yesterday I flew into Kona for a quick ceremony and portrait session with the most IN-LOVE couple ever. Christina was giddy with excitement and Justin was the tall silent but strong type. So hot!
It was just the two of them and we took full advantage of the grounds at Kona Village.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the shoes!!!!

A couple they had met on their plane from LA was staying in the hale (house in Hawaiian) near our shoot. Turns out they all had a horse back riding trip planned for today.

The pastor was commenting on her red heels. She walked in sand and over lava rocks for me in those hot shoes!

Congrats Christina and Justin! Have a great honeymoon in Kona!!!!
