Shawna + Gary : Just Married : Kualoa Ranch

In the thick of it, I find solace in a hug from my child, the excited and nervous smile of a bride, and the cool shock of the ocean.  It seems that I am living in a mad cycle of complete joy.  The wedding season is here.  The boys are out of school for summer.  The calm shores of Waimea call me. I love this time of the year.

Shawna and Gary were married at Kualoa Ranch on the windward side of Oahu.  Sometimes you just know when a couple is going to last forever.  This is one of them.  For real.

Amy + Jesse : Wedding : Moli’i Gardens Part Three

The reception was more like a dance party with non-stop action on the dance floor.  With tons of carnival food (popcorn, peanuts, cotton candy, and corn on the cob!) and vegetarian treats, no one was going hungry at this wedding.  Amy’s good friend Kristina of Rise Up Cakes made all vegan cupcakes and of course the cake.  It was all so delicious.

A lot of hard work and love were put into this wedding.  All the painted items, fabrics, balloons, and details were hand made by Amy, Jesse, and friends.

I am really happy I got to be a part of this day and proud to hang my wedding hat up on this one.   The baby is due in a few weeks and I am totally ready for a little family time.

I have already been booking up 2010 and looking forward to getting back in the saddle in May.  Between now and then, I will still be “in the office” but taking a break from on location work.  I will also be updating the blog with the few underwater sessions I have in the works and of course baby news!

Amy + Jesse : Wedding : Moli’i Gardens Part Two

Why would someone choose a circus themed wedding?  If your grandfather is the oldest living master clown Frosty Little, that’s why!

The Bride, Amy, told me this story about going to see the circus in New Jersey where she grew up and watching her grandfather perform.

She was tattooing me at the time so I couldn’t easily take notes.
Pretty neat.

I am sure soon enough this wedding ceremony will be posted on youtube. When it does, I will post a link for sure.   There wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd!
