Welcome!

This new year marks a new start for REDHEARTPHOTOGRAPHY.

Let me know if you like the changes I have made so far.

Things to look forward to: iSite, a new portfolio compatible with your mobile browser, my new WEDDING site, slideshows at receptions, and much more!

surfing the internet late at night…..

Since all my shows are on repeat (thanks holiday season!) I have been snuggling my laptop in the dark, finding goodies….

First, I found this GEM, the Bridal Boutique’s Hawaii Bridal Expo flyer featuring photos from a wedding I rocked earlier this year.  The bride here is Kanoe, married back in March.  This card was handed out to hundreds of brides back in August.

Second, after poking around trying to revamp my vendor list, I stumbled on these photos of an Olympic athlete and his super gorgeous wife featured in the real weddings section of Pacific Weddings Magazine online.

Next, a few of my shots of the 2008 Kokua Festival ended up on the local newspapers blog.  I am already looking forward to Kokua ‘09.  I just hope I have the time to work all 6 days of production again.  It is really interesting to watch a festival come to life and in some small way, be a part of it.

Cool, here’s my own Hawaiian Miles Partner page!  It’s true, I offer 2 miles for every dollar spent.  If you give me your Miles Member number at the time of payment, i will add your earned miles at the end of the current month.

Lastly, here are 12 ways to make sure you don’t get depressed on December 26th.  If you have a low impact holiday, you are giving the Earth a present.  How can you not feel good about that?

Next posts to look forward to are Kona Wedding #2 and my yearly wrap up with photos from all the trips I took with my family.  :)

xoxo, Marina

Kona Wedding #1

Like lightening striking twice, I booked 2 weddings within the same week in Kona.  I flew over the day of my first wedding at the Fairmont Orchid where I met Michelle and Danny.  They had been there all week scouting locations for our photo shoot after their ceremony.  Because their wedding was so intimate, we were able to steal away for over an hour to capture the beauty of the Big Island.  Local Hilo boy and lighting guru James Rubio joined me as my second shooter for the day.  As you can see, we took the portrait session to a whole new level, using my new mobile lighting set up.

December 13, 2008 - 3:50 am M & D - Marina, Thank you thank you and thank you! You truly captured the most important day in our lives! You are a superstar! thank you, Michelle & Danny

December 15, 2008 - 4:15 am Kristi - They had about as many people at their wedding as we did! I love small intimate ceremonies, and that they chose such an AMAZING photographer to capture it for them.....wow...SO beautiful. The heart rocks have to be my favorite, and the table shots, and the couple lying on the volcanic rock beach....always so wonderful to see things through your eyes.....
