I hope everyone is having a great summer! I have been busy juggling my 3 boys and catching up on editing and albums. The boys go back to school in a few weeks and I am looking forward to some quiet during the day.
Yesterday we went to the Waikiki Aquarium. I met up with super talented Southern California wedding photographer Sarah K. Chen. She is over here on a family vacation. If you are thinking about getting married while I am on maternity leave, please consider Sarah for your wedding.

I am now about 4 months along in my pregnancy. We will try to find out the sex of the baby very soon.
My mom had her surgery. They were able to remove her cancer, but she is still feeling the aftermath of having cancer. She starts radiation 5 days a week for 6 weeks next month. I will be helping her this weekend at the Hawaii All-Collector’s Show. She makes beautiful pillows out of vintage barkcloth. She also sells some pretty cool vintage jewelry.
My family and I recently spent the weekend at the Kona Village Resort. We had a great time just getting away from it all. They have a strict “no cell phones” rule, so we spent most of our time in the water.

Here is a sneak peek at a session I am working on. Christina and Jason are getting married at the end of this year. We did their e-session in Haleiwa. This shot is on the Haleiwa bridge after a bus drove by. :)

Next week I will be flying to California to shoot with Sacramento wedding photographer Sarah Maren. I am super excited to work with another photographer that seems to have just as much fun as I do.
Again, I will not be taking any weddings/portraits sessions from October ‘09 to May ‘10. I hope to be back to full time by the end of 2010.
Also, I am looking into doing underwater portraits. If you have any interest in booking a super creative and artful session please contact me.
xoxo, Marina
