Baby News!

I know I have been quiet for a while…. I have been trying to figure our what I am going to do about being pregnant!  My family and I are stoked but I am going to have to take a break from the 5, 8, and 12 hour weddings starting in October.

Here is my new schedule:

Now- October 2009  Booking all weddings

October -May 2010  No bookings

May – December 2010 Limited bookings (ELOPE package, engagement sessions, and bridals)

January 2011  Back to booking all weddings.

If you already have booked your wedding in 2010, I will still honor contracts with my full capability.

Here are some fun shots from Connie and Hung’s wedding this past weekend at the Moana Sheraton.

More to come soon.

Arizona

Before I step out for the night (shooting Rise Against) I wanted to post some photos from my trip.  These are non-people images.  I don’t usually like to shoot images without people in them.  I feel like a story teller when making an image, documenting the lives of people.  These images spoke to me.  They tell their own story capturing the season and land scape of the places I have been.

Enjoy!

Jane + Daniel : Wedding : Dance Floor

Most weddings have a dance floor, but unfortunately, not everyone uses them to the fullest.  Nothing can top the energy of the bridal party throwing down moves into the the night.

As I am finishing up Jane + Daniel’s wedding photos, I hit a little pot of gold, the dance floor photos at the reception.  These bridal party was shakin’ and groovin’ to everything.

The had the first dance, the money dance, the parent dance, the soul train, the limbo, the electric slide, thriller, and I think I even saw some serious break dance moves.

Enjoy!

Sean : B-Day BBQ : North Shore

Yay!  I was so excited when my brother’s girlfriend invited my family over for a birthday BBQ last week.  I hadn’t had a chance to head out to the North Shore in a really long time so this was a treat.  My brother Sean turned 26 on April Fool’s Day.  :)

beseans001The boys fell in love with Lilikoi the cat.  They really want a cat but we can’t have one where we live right now.

beseans002There were so many treasures around the house.

beseans003This has got to be my favorite part of their lovely home, an outdoor shower surrounded by anthuriums and seashells.  HEAVEN!

beseans004Up at the top of their property was a trampoline, chairs, and this water garden in an old bathtub.  The view was amazing!

beseans007Here is Sean cooking up some veggies and hot dogs.

beseans008YUM! Those peppers were filled with Pepper-jack cheese.
beseans009This is Kava.  He is an excellent hide-and-seek player.  The boys had a blast covering his eyes and hiding his toys.

beseans011What’s an April Fool’s birthday without a trick cake with trick candles?   Sean had a really tough time cutting his first cake.  It was full of sharks and egg shells.

beseans015Happy Birthday Sean!  Thanks Marina [that name kicks ass!] for inviting us over.
