Jane + Daniel : Wedding : Lanikohonua

Well, I am back from vacation and have been hanging out with my boys during spring break.  They go back to school next Monday and all daytime meetings can resume.  :)

The night before we left for our trip (blog post coming soon!) I photographed a fun wedding on the west side of Oahu.  The girls got ready at the Ihilani (gold door knobs in the top floor suites!) and the guys met me at the train tracks for a few photos.  The ceremony was held at Lanikohonua, one of my favorite spots for a relaxed and intimate tropical wedding.

You can see this beautiful location in the movie “You , Me, and Dupree” staring Kate Hudson. BTW, I am kinda liking this site for “celeb” bride info.

Here is a sneak peek at this perfect destination wedding!

I was so excited when I met the guys (identical twins!).  They were super energetic and so not camera shy.

Jessica + Derek : TTD Contest Winners : Honolulu

Here is a sneak peek at one of the most fun sessions I have had in a long time.  It was a relief to have zero expectations or pressure for a change of pace.  The most stressful thing on this shoot was the constant threat of rain on this wonderful gloomy day.

Jessica and Derek are the winners of my Second Annual TTD Photo Session.  What really made me consider them was the fact that they hadn’t budgeted time or money for a seasoned wedding photographer on their wedding day.  One thing I can not say enough is that other then your memories and loved ones, the photos are really the only thing you have to remember such a small moment in time.  Wedding photos are worth the time and effort.

These were all taken within a one block radius of one of the most beautiful and historic areas of Downtown Honolulu.

Jenn + Frank : Wedding : Hilton Hawaiian Village

These two cuties finally tied the knot after years and years of friendship.  Their slideshow at the reception was so cute!  It showed almost a decade of love and happiness.

I totally fell in love with Jenn’s dress, a sparkley mermaid number, and her sweet practical ballet slippers.

The ceremony was held in the gorgeous Ocean Crystal Chapel on the grounds of the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki.  The late afternoon lighting created a dreamy and dramatic setting for Jenn and Frank.

The dance floor was the place to be during the reception.  Glow sticks and techno set the tone for the night.

My favorite moment of the night was a mother and son rendition of “Thriller”.
