A few weeks ago, my hubby took me to Maui to see NOFX in Lahaina. It was another short trip sans keiki. It is amazing how refreshing a 24 hour trip can be. Other then the phone call from my mom at the ER (three stitches for Mr.L!!!!) it was like being 19.
A little backstory: I have known my husband since I was 16, but he gave me his number when I was 19 backstage at a concert. NOFX played that day along with a bunch of other 1999 bands (The Offspring, AFI are all I can remember…). Every time we run away to catch some band we love, I feel like we are that young again.

The next morning we got up and had a walk around the property of the Royal Lahaina Resort. It is a great inexpensive place with cottages spread out over a lush oceanside property.
Even the plants were having fun. ;)

Just before landing in Honolulu, I spotted Keehi Lagoon. This is a place I called home for about 6 months when I was a kid. My crazy parents bought a yacht when I was in the third grade. That story is for another time…..
