Mandie + Sean : Wedding : Kona

What happens when a guy is totally in love with a girl?  He plans a wedding in Hawaii for her.

Sean and Mandie got married at the Fairmont Orchid in Kona.  It was as intimate and personal as it gets.  I was honored to be a part of their hot and steamy elopement.  Congrats guys!

BTW, if you are in the North West and need a good doggy day care, Mandie and Sean run Lucky Dog in Eugene, Oregon and amazing doggy photog Erin Vey is in Seattle, Washington.  Check them out.

Pink is so HOT!

This week I got in my 12×12 sample book for the Wedding Cafe.  It is the same book I am offering my B+G’s in their packages.  The weight and the size of the book is downright huggable.

Island Hopping

A few weeks ago, my hubby took me to Maui to see NOFX in Lahaina. It was another short trip sans keiki. It is amazing how refreshing a 24 hour trip can be.  Other then the phone call from my mom at the ER (three stitches for Mr.L!!!!) it was like being 19.

A little backstory: I have known my husband since I was 16, but he gave me his number when I was 19 backstage at a concert.  NOFX played that day along with a bunch of other 1999 bands (The Offspring, AFI are all I can remember…).  Every time we run away to catch some band we love, I feel like we are that young again.

berhp_5913See HEAVEN!!!  On our flight over we enjoyed the sunset.

berhp_6209Melvin of NOFX hopping at The Cellar on Front Street.

berhp_6414The next morning we got up and had a walk around the property of the Royal Lahaina Resort.  It is a great inexpensive place with cottages spread out over a lush oceanside property.

berhp_6434Even the plants were having fun.  ;)

berhp_6471Lovely destination wedding island of Lanai.

berhp_6480Enjoying our complimentary beverages in first class.  Hawaiian Air is the best.

berhp_6493Just before landing in Honolulu, I spotted Keehi Lagoon.  This is a place I called home for about 6 months when I was a kid.  My crazy parents bought a yacht when I was in the third grade.  That story is for another time…..
