This is Hope Mayo.  She is pretty darn cool in my book.   I hope [not funny, I know] to see these photos on her facebook and website ASAP [hint, hint].

Well, once again I found myself shooting in my favorite down the way locations. I think I have almost perfected the pink wall, also seen here, and am always inspired by the ever changing landscape and skyscape of the birthing stones.

Look for Hope’s new album in the near future with one of my photos on the cover.  I wonder which one will it be….

xoxo, Marina

the nurse and the sailor

I am back from my 48 hour date to LA with my hubby!  We had a great time and I have LOTS of photos to share later this week.

Earlier this month, I had the honor of photographing April and Brandon’s wedding.  April is a nurse at Queen’s Hospital and a talented singer.  Brandon is in the Navy and a car enthusiast.  I think in another life they would both be rock stars, but in this life, they are both humanitarians.  Thanks to both of them for having a super fun wedding day.

xoxo, Marina

Today I get to shoot an ocean front North Shore wedding and hop on a plane to LAX.

I am meeting my hubby there and we are spending Sunday at the Warp Tour.

Will be back Tuesday.

Aloha.

eight 8 eight

What a crazy day.  I started in the morning at the Kahala Hotel with Chrissy Lambert and ended the night at the Dole Cannery Ballroom with 3 other photographers (one was the bride), Chinese dragons, and red Coronas.  I finally got home around 10 pm to watch Shutter (I am disgustingly addicted to Japanese horror movies) and pass out from exhaustion.

The next morning I got up and watched the AMAZING Olympic opening ceremony that my hubby had DVR’d for me.  All I can say is, “WOW.”  8-8-08 was a phenomenal day.
